After Arriving at the Office
Xiao Guo arrives late to the office, joins a morning meeting, and secretly thinks about lunch instead of work.
小郭八点半到了公司。Xiao Guo arrives at the office at 8:30.他全身都是汗，也有点喘。He’s covered in sweat and a little out of breath.同事小王笑着说：“又迟到了？”His coworker Xiao Wang laughs and says, “Late again?”
小郭不好意思地笑了笑。Xiao Guo smiles awkwardly.他去拿咖啡，一边喝一边开电脑。He grabs a coffee and turns on his computer while drinking it.今天老板要开早会。The boss is having a morning meeting today.大家都坐在会议室里。Everyone sits in the meeting room.老板说：“这个月我们要努力工作。”The boss says, “We must work hard this month.”小郭点头，但心里想着午饭要吃什么。Xiao Guo nods, but he’s secretly thinking about what to eat for lunch.
