John and Xiaoting's First Trip — a taxi, a train, and the start of an adventure.
约翰：小婷，我们去旅行吧！John: Xiaoting, let's take a trip!
小婷：好啊！去哪儿？Xiaoting: Sure! Where to?
约翰：我们去看海吧！John: Let's go see the sea!
小婷：太好了！我很想看海！Xiaoting: Great! I really want to see the sea!
米饭去朋友家住几天。Mifan goes to stay at a friend's house for a few days.
早上，他们坐出租车去火车站。In the morning, they take a taxi to the train station.
司机：你们好！去哪儿？Driver: Hello! Where to?
约翰：去火车站，我们是九点的火车。John: To the train station — our train is at nine.
路上车很多。There are a lot of cars on the road.
小婷：司机，请快一点！Xiaoting: Driver, please hurry a little!
他们八点五十到了火车站。They arrive at the train station at eight fifty.
小婷：快！火车不等人！Xiaoting: Quick! The train doesn't wait for people!
他们坐上了九点的火车。They got on the nine o'clock train.
约翰：大海，我们来了！John: Sea, here we come!
