What a strange day — several things almost went wrong.

I got up late this morning; if Mom hadn't woken me, I would definitely have been late for work.

It was pouring when I left; if Grandpa hadn't tucked an umbrella into my bag, I'd have been soaked head to toe long before I arrived.

At the office, if a coworker hadn't reminded me, I would have forgotten about an important afternoon meeting.

At lunch, I left my phone on the restaurant table.

If someone from the restaurant hadn't run out after me, I would never have gotten it back.

On the way home that evening, I was so tired I fell asleep in my seat.

If the person next to me hadn't woken me up, who knows where I would have ended up.

When I got home, Mom smiled and said, "You were really lucky today."

我wǒ说shuō:“不是bù shì运气yùn qi好hǎo,要不是yào bu shì你们nǐ men的话de huà,我wǒ这zhè一天yī tiān早就zǎo jiù乱luàn了le。”I said, "It wasn't luck — if it weren't for all of you, my whole day would have fallen apart ages ago."

原来yuán lái我wǒ最zuì大dà的de运气yùn qi,就是jiù shì身边shēn biān有yǒu这么zhè me多duō愿意yuàn yì帮bāng我的wǒ de人rén。Turns out my greatest luck is having so many people around me who are willing to help.
