Noah and the Great Flood
God tells Noah to build an ark before a great flood covers the earth.
很久很久以前，有一个人叫挪亚。A long, long time ago, there was a man named Noah.那时候，人们都做坏事。At that time, people all did bad things.只有挪亚听神的话。Only Noah obeyed God.
一天，神对挪亚说：One day, God said to Noah:“大水要来了。你要造一个大方舟。”"A great flood is coming. You must build a big ark."
挪亚相信神，马上开始造方舟。Noah believed God and started building the ark right away.邻居们看见了，都笑他。The neighbors saw it and all laughed at him.
他们说：“这里没有水，你为什么造船？”They said: "There is no water here. Why are you building a boat?"
挪亚不听他们的，天天工作。Noah did not listen to them and worked every day.方舟造好了，挪亚带家人进去。When the ark was finished, Noah brought his family inside.很多动物也进了方舟。Many animals also went into the ark.
雨下了四十天四十夜。It rained for forty days and forty nights.大水盖住了整个大地。The flood covered the whole earth.只有方舟里的人和动物平安。Only the people and animals inside the ark were safe.
很久以后，水慢慢退了。After a long time, the water slowly went down.挪亚一家从方舟里出来，感谢神。Noah's family came out of the ark and thanked God.神在天上放了一道美丽的彩虹。God set a beautiful rainbow in the sky.
神说：“大水不会再盖住大地了。这是我的应许。”God said: "A flood will never cover the earth again. This is my promise."
