Seeing a Doctor (Part 2)
Survival Chinese — registering at the hospital and seeing a doctor.

三天过去了,李明的感冒还没有好。Three days went by, and Li Ming's cold still hadn't gotten better.晚上,他开始发烧,头很热。That night he started running a fever, and his head felt hot.朋友说:“别等了,我们去医院吧。”His friend said, "Stop waiting — let's go to the hospital."
在医院,李明先挂号,然后坐着等。At the hospital, Li Ming registered first, then sat and waited.到他了,医生给他量体温:38.5度!When his turn came, the doctor took his temperature: 38.5 degrees!
医生说:“别担心,是感冒,吃药就会好。”The doctor said, "Don't worry — it's a cold. Take some medicine and you'll be fine."
“记得多喝水,好好睡觉。”"Remember to drink plenty of water and sleep well."
李明问:“我明天能上班吗?”Li Ming asked, "Can I go to work tomorrow?"
医生笑了:“最好在家休息两天。”The doctor smiled: "It's best to rest at home for two days."拿了药,李明觉得放心多了。With the medicine in hand, Li Ming felt much more at ease.
