The Little Engine That Could — a shiny new engine and a big strong engine say no.
不久，一个亮亮的新火车头开来了。Before long, a shiny new engine came along.玩具们喊：“请帮帮我们！把我们拉过山吧！”The toys called out, "Please help us! Pull us over the mountain!"
新火车头说：“我是拉客人的，不拉玩具。”The new engine said, "I pull passengers — not toys."它头也不回地开走了。And off it went without looking back.
过了一会儿，一个大大的黑火车头开来了。After a while, a big black engine came along.“请帮帮我们！山那边的孩子们在等！”"Please help us! The children over the mountain are waiting!"
大火车头说：“我很重要，没有时间。”The big engine said, "I am very important. I have no time."它也开走了。And it went away too.
玩具们难过得快哭了。The toys were so sad they nearly cried.
