The first part of Jesus Christ's Sermon on the Mount

1耶稣yē sū看见kàn jiàn这zhè许多xǔ duō的de人rén，就jiù上shàng了le山shān，既jì已yǐ坐下zuò xia，门徒mén tú到dào他tā跟前gēn qián来lái，1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2他tā就jiù开口kāi kǒu教导jiào dǎo他们tā men，说shuō：2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3虚心xū xīn的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi天国tiān guó是shì他们tā men的de。3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4哀恸āi tòng的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì得dé安慰ān wèi。4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5温柔wēn róu的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì承受chéng shòu地土dì tǔ。5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6饥渴jī kě慕义mù yì的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì得dé饱足bǎo zú。6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7怜恤lián xù人rén的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì蒙méng怜恤lián xù。7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8清心qīng xīn的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì得dé见jiàn神shén。8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9使shǐ人和睦rén hé mù的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi他们tā men必bì称为chēng wéi神shén的de儿子ér zi。9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10为义wèi yì受shòu逼迫bī pò的de人rén有福yǒu fú了le，因为yīn wèi天国tiān guó是shì他们tā men的de。10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11人rén若ruò因yīn我wǒ辱骂rǔ mà你们nǐ men、逼迫bī pò你们nǐ men、捏造niē zào各样gè yàng坏话huài huà毁谤huǐ bàng你们nǐ men，你们nǐ men就jiù有福yǒu fú了le；11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12应当yīng dāng欢喜huān xǐ快乐kuài lè，因为yīn wèi你们nǐ men在zài天上tiān shàng的de赏赐shǎng cì是shì大dà的de；在zài你们nǐ men以前yǐ qián的de先知xiān zhī，人rén也yě是shì这样zhè yàng逼迫bī pò他们tā men。12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13你们nǐ men是shì世上shì shàng的de盐yán；盐yán若ruò失shī了le味wèi，怎zěn能néng叫jiào它tā再zài咸xián呢ne？以后yǐ hòu无用wú yòng，不过bù guò丢diū在zài外面wài miàn，被bèi人rén践踏jiàn tà了le。13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14你们nǐ men是shì世上shì shàng的de光guāng。城chéng造zào在zài山上shān shàng是shì不能bù néng隐藏yǐn cáng的de。14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15人rén点灯diǎn dēng，不bù放fàng在zài斗dǒu底下dǐ xia，是shì放fàng在zài灯台dēng tái上shàng，就jiù照亮zhào liàng一家yī jiā的de人rén。15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16你们nǐ men的de光guāng也yě当dāng这样zhè yàng照zhào在zài人rén前qián，叫jiào他们tā men看见kàn jiàn你们nǐ men的de好hǎo行为xíng wéi，便biàn将jiāng荣耀róng yào归guī给gěi你们nǐ men在zài天上tiān shàng的de父fù。16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17莫mò想xiǎng我wǒ来lái要yào废掉fèi diào律法lǜ fǎ和hé先知xiān zhī。我wǒ来lái不是bù shì要yào废掉fèi diào，乃是nǎi shì要yào成全chéng quán；17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18我wǒ实在shí zài告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，就是jiù shì到dào天地tiān dì都dōu废去fèi qù了le，律法lǜ fǎ的de一点yī diǎn一yī画huà也yě不能bù néng废去fèi qù，都dōu要yào成全chéng quán。18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19所以suǒ yǐ，无论wú lùn何hé人rén废掉fèi diào这zhè诫命jiè mìng中zhōng最小zuì xiǎo的de一条yī tiáo，又yòu教导jiào dǎo人rén这样zhè yàng做zuò，他tā在zài天国tiān guó要yào称为chēng wéi最小zuì xiǎo的de。但dàn无论wú lùn何hé人rén遵行zūn xíng这zhè诫命jiè mìng，又yòu教导jiào dǎo人rén遵行zūn xíng，他tā在zài天国tiān guó要yào称为chēng wéi大dà的de。19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，你们nǐ men的de义yì若ruò不bù胜于shèng yú文士wén shì和hé法利赛人fǎ lì sài rén的de义yì，断duàn不能bù néng进jìn天国tiān guó。20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21你们nǐ men听见tīng jiàn古gǔ人rén所说suǒ shuō，不可bù kě杀人shā rén；凡fán杀人shā rén的de，难免nán miǎn受shòu审判shěn pàn。21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，凡fán向xiàng弟兄dì xiong动怒dòng nù的de，难免nán miǎn受shòu审判shěn pàn；凡fán骂mà弟兄dì xiong是shì拉加lā jiā的de，难免nán miǎn公会gōng huì的de责罚zé fá；凡fán骂mà弟兄dì xiong是shì魔利mó lì的de，难免nán miǎn地狱dì yù之zhī火huǒ。22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23所以suǒ yǐ，你nǐ在zài祭坛jì tán上shàng献xiàn礼物lǐ wù，那里nà li想起xiǎng qǐ弟兄dì xiong向xiàng你nǐ怀怨huái yuàn，23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24就jiù把bǎ礼物lǐ wù留在liú zài坛tán前qián，先xiān去qù同tóng你nǐ弟兄dì xiong和好hé hǎo，然后rán hòu来lái献xiàn礼物lǐ wù。24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25你nǐ同tóng告gào你nǐ的de人rén还hái在zài路上lù shang时shí，要yào赶快gǎn kuài与他yǔ tā和解hé jiě，恐怕kǒng pà他tā把bǎ你nǐ交给jiāo gěi审判官shěn pàn guān，审判官shěn pàn guān交给jiāo gěi差役chāi yì，你nǐ就jiù被bèi下xià在zài监里jiān lǐ。25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26我wǒ实在shí zài告诉gào sù你nǐ，若ruò不bù还清huán qīng一yī文wén钱qián，你nǐ断duàn不能bù néng从cóng那里nà li出来chū lái。26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

27你们nǐ men听见tīng jiàn古gǔ人rén所说suǒ shuō，不可bù kě奸淫jiān yín。27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，凡fán看见kàn jiàn妇女fù nǚ而ér动dòng淫念yín niàn的de，这zhè人rén心里xīn li已经yǐ jīng与yǔ她tā犯fàn奸淫jiān yín了le。28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29若是ruò shì你nǐ的de右yòu眼yǎn叫jiào你nǐ跌倒diē dǎo，就jiù剜wān出来chū lái丢掉diū diào；宁可nìng kě失去shī qù百体bǎi tǐ中zhōng的de一yī体tǐ，不bù叫jiào全quán身shēn丢diū在zài地狱dì yù里lǐ。29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30若是ruò shì你nǐ的de右手yòu shǒu叫jiào你nǐ跌倒diē dǎo，就jiù砍kǎn下来xià lai丢掉diū diào；宁可nìng kě失去shī qù百体bǎi tǐ中zhōng的de一yī体tǐ，不bù叫jiào全quán身shēn丢diū在zài地狱dì yù里lǐ。30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

31又yòu有yǒu话huà说shuō，凡fán休xiū妻qī的de，就jiù当dāng给gěi她tā休书xiū shū。31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，凡fán休xiū妻qī的de，若ruò不是bù shì为wèi淫乱yín luàn的de缘故yuán gù，就jiù是shì叫jiào她tā犯fàn奸淫jiān yín了le；人rén若ruò娶qǔ这zhè被bèi休xiū的de妇人fù rén，也yě是shì犯fàn奸淫jiān yín了le。32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

33你们nǐ men又yòu听见tīng jiàn那nà吩咐fēn fu古人gǔ rén的de话huà，说shuō，不可bù kě背bèi誓shì，所suǒ起qǐ的de誓shì，要yào向xiàng主zhǔ谨守jǐn shǒu。33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

34只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，什么shén me誓shì都dōu不可bù kě起qǐ，不bù可kě指着zhǐ zhe天tiān起誓qǐ shì，因为yīn wèi天tiān是shì神shén的de座位zuò wèi；34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

35不bù可kě指着zhǐ zhe地dì起誓qǐ shì，因为yīn wèi地dì是shì他tā的de脚jiǎo凳dèng；也yě不bù可kě指着zhǐ zhe耶路撒冷yē lù sā lěng起誓qǐ shì，因为yīn wèi耶路撒冷yē lù sā lěng是shì大dà君jūn的de京城jīng chéng；35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

36也yě不bù可kě指着zhǐ zhe你nǐ的de头tóu起誓qǐ shì，因为yīn wèi你nǐ不能bù néng使shǐ一根yī gēn头发tóu fa变biàn白bái变biàn黑hēi。36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

37你们nǐ men的de话huà，是shì就jiù说shuō是shì，不bù是shì就jiù说shuō不bù是shì，若ruò再zài多duō说shuō，就jiù是shì出于chū yú那nà恶者è zhě了le。37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

38你们nǐ men听见tīng jiàn有yǒu话huà说shuō，以yǐ眼yǎn还huán眼yǎn，以yǐ牙yá还huán牙yá。38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

39只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，不bù要yào与yǔ恶人è rén作对zuò duì；有人yǒu rén打dǎ你nǐ的de右yòu脸liǎn，连lián左zuǒ脸liǎn也yě转zhuǎn过来guò lái给gěi他tā打dǎ；39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40有人yǒu rén想要xiǎng yào告gào你nǐ，要yào拿ná你nǐ的de里衣lǐ yī，连lián外衣wài yī也yě由yóu他tā拿去ná qù；40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

41有人yǒu rén强qiáng逼bī你nǐ走zǒu一yī里lǐ路lù，你nǐ就jiù同tóng他tā走zǒu二èr里lǐ。41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

42有yǒu求qiú你nǐ的de，就jiù给gěi他tā；有yǒu向xiàng你nǐ借贷jiè dài的de，不bù可kě推辞tuī cí。42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43你们nǐ men听tīng见jiàn有yǒu话huà说shuō，当dāng爱ài你nǐ的de邻舍lín shè，恨hèn你nǐ的de仇敌chóu dí。43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44只是zhǐ shì我wǒ告诉gào sù你们nǐ men，要yào爱ài你们nǐ men的de仇敌chóu dí，为wèi那nà逼迫bī pò你们nǐ men的de祷告dǎo gào。44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45这样zhè yàng，就jiù可以kě yǐ作zuò你nǐ们men天tiān父fù的de儿ér女nǚ；因为yīn wèi他tā叫jiào日头rì tóu照zhào好hǎo人rén，也yě照zhào歹dǎi人rén；降jiàng雨yǔ给gěi义yì人rén，也yě给gěi不bù义yì的de人rén。45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46你nǐ们men若ruò单dān爱ài那nà爱ài你nǐ们men的de人rén，有yǒu什么shén me赏赐shǎng cì呢ne？就是jiù shì税吏shuì lì不bù也yě是shì这样zhè yàng行xíng吗ma？46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47你nǐ们men若ruò单dān请qǐng你nǐ弟兄dì xiong的de安ān，比bǐ人rén有yǒu什么shén me长处cháng chù呢ne？就是jiù shì外邦人wài bāng rén不bù也yě是shì这样zhè yàng行xíng吗ma？47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48所以suǒ yǐ，你nǐ们men要yào完全wán quán，像xiàng你nǐ们men的de天tiān父fù完全wán quán一样yī yàng。48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
