第二天dì èr tiān,小婷xiǎo tíng给gěi她tā爸爸bà ba打电话dǎ diàn huà。The next day, Xiaoting calls her dad.她tā问wèn:“爸爸bà ba,下个月xià gè yuè我们wǒ men要yào去qù美国měi guó两个liǎng gè星期xīng qī,米饭mǐ fàn可以kě yǐ住zhù在zài你nǐ家jiā吗ma?”She asks: "Dad, next month we're going to America for two weeks. Can Mifan stay at your house?"

小婷xiǎo tíng的de爸爸bà ba大声dà shēng说shuō:“当然dāng rán可以kě yǐ!我wǒ最喜欢zuì xǐ huān狗gǒu了le!”Xiaoting's dad says loudly: "Of course! I love dogs more than anything!"

米饭mǐ fàn听到tīng dào了le,高兴地gāo xìng de跳来跳去tiào lái tiào qù。Mifan hears this and jumps around happily.

一个yī ge星期xīng qī以后yǐ hòu,小婷xiǎo tíng开始kāi shǐ收拾shōu shi东西dōng xi。A week later, Xiaoting starts packing.她tā把bǎ大dà箱子xiāng zi放在fàng zài床上chuáng shàng。She puts the big suitcase on the bed.

米饭mǐ fàn看到kàn dào箱子xiāng zi,马上mǎ shàng坐zuò了le进去jìn qù。The moment Mifan sees the suitcase, he climbs in and sits down.

小婷xiǎo tíng说shuō:“米饭mǐ fàn,你nǐ不能bù néng去qù美国měi guó!”Xiaoting says: "Mifan, you can't go to America!"

米饭mǐ fàn不bù走zǒu,还hái把bǎ约翰yuē hàn的de一只yī zhī鞋xié也yě拿ná进jìn了le箱子xiāng zi。Mifan won't leave — he even carries one of John's shoes into the suitcase.

约翰yuē hàn大笑dà xiào:“它tā是shì想xiǎng我们wǒ men了le。”John laughs out loud: "He's going to miss us."

去qù机场jī chǎng的de那天nà tiān早上zǎo shang,小婷xiǎo tíng的de爸爸bà ba来lái接jiē米饭mǐ fàn。On the morning they leave for the airport, Xiaoting's dad comes to pick up Mifan.米饭mǐ fàn看看kàn kan小婷xiǎo tíng,又yòu看看kàn kan箱子xiāng zi。Mifan looks at Xiaoting, then looks at the suitcase.

小婷xiǎo tíng抱bào了le抱bào米饭mǐ fàn:“两个liǎng gè星期xīng qī以后yǐ hòu见jiàn!”Xiaoting gives Mifan a hug: "See you in two weeks!"

在zài机场jī chǎng,小婷xiǎo tíng拿出ná chū一yī张zhāng纸zhǐ,上面shàng miàn写xiě着zhe一句yī jù英文Yīng wén。At the airport, Xiaoting takes out a piece of paper with one English sentence written on it.她tā小声xiǎo shēng地de读dú了le一遍yī biàn,又yòu读dú了le一遍yī biàn。She reads it quietly once, then once more.

飞机fēi jī要yào起飞qǐ fēi了le。The plane is about to take off.
