The most impressive classmate turns out to have a very simple secret.
我的朋友是我们班最厉害的人。My friend is the most impressive person in our class.
她不但学习好，而且体育也很好。Not only does she do well in school, she's also great at sports.

不但老师喜欢她，而且同学们也都喜欢她。Not only do the teachers like her — all the classmates like her too.
我说：“周末你应该休息，看看电视或者出去玩。”I said, "You should rest on weekends — watch some TV or go out and play."
她笑着说：“我周末都在练习。”She smiled and said, "I spend my weekends practicing."
她不但每天弹钢琴，而且还每天跑步。Not only does she play piano every day, she also runs every day.
原来她不但很聪明，而且非常努力。It turns out she's not only smart, but also incredibly hardworking.
我也要像她一样努力！I'm going to work as hard as she does!
